The Behavioral Economics Summit for Startups 2012

Live from Palo Alto to Tel-Aviv, Aug 25-26th, 2012

Israeli startup founders raved about the first Israeli extension and thanks to Dan Ariely and his collaborators and Google Israel, The Summit will extend to Israel this year too.

We’re keeping what worked great last year – the forum of inspiring Israeli entrepreneurs and the Q&A session with Dan on specific challenges of attending startups, and we’re working to significantly upgrade AV quality of streaming of live talks.

Startup-Onomics is about infusing behavioral economics into the core DNA of new companies. It’s about HOW your users make decisions and WHY they make them. And more importantly, it’s about understanding the implications of this behavior to your bottom line.

All about behavioral economics (BE) for startups, the speakers, how BE techniques increase site conversion rates, create effective pricing strategy, improve customer and employee retention and overall help users change the ‘hard-to-change’ behavior, in the main Startup-Onomics Summit website.

This was last year’s event. And here’re more pics of some of the best moments.

Who should attend?

Game Changing Startups. Founders, designers, product people and other professionals that are trying to have a big impact by changing the way people behave. This year, we’re going for startups focused on changing the world for the better. You’re either saving lives, money, the earth or our youth. Health, Finance, Environment, Education or Big Data.

How to apply?

For all intents and purposes, you’ll be part of the Palo Alto Summit. Applications review and approval is done by Dan Ariely and his team. You can apply here.

Do it. It will change how you do business!

[approved]Be sure to mention in ‘country’ you’re applying for the Israeli extension, and also to note if you attended last year.[/approved]

Registration now closed.

How much is it to attend?

It’s FREE – a gift to you from Dan Ariely and the summit speakers, the sponsors of the Palo Alto event and Google Israel. They all do it to support Israeli startups. Please thank them for their great generosity.

We can only make this business changing summit available to a few dosen startups and we know it will help attendees in a big way. [attention]Space is scarce. A no-show would be really uncool. Only apply if you plan on attending both days in full. Also, if you’re invited and can’t make it, please let us know [/attention]

When is it?

Aug 25th-26th. The 10-hour-San Francisco-Tel Aviv-time-difference means we start late and end even later. And we work weekends too. Normal startup hours… We start in the afternoon of Saturday the 25th and run till ~midnight. And on Sunday the 26th we start early evening and end at midnight. Or a tad later.

Where is it?
